Surgery Update

Surgery is (as of now) officially on for tomorrow at 3 pm.  We are obviously feeling scared, nervous, and many other emotions.  However, we are excited that he will hopefully take the next step.  Expectations are that getting through surgery will be the easy part.  His recover will take 1 to 2 weeks if all goes well and it is possible he will get very sick during it.  He also will be paralyzed again for several days so that he is not using energy the wrong way and to prevent him from interfering with the trach site.  Difficult, yet necessary equals lets get this over with.
