Boys are still doing good but definitely are requiring more help today. Eli has had several big spit ups which is a sign his stomach is still bothering him. Good news though is he had a couple stools on his own in the last 24 hours which is a first for the week. Jack had his weekly echocardiogram and....GREAT NEWS! They have decided that his aorta is low risk enough that they are going to discontinue weekly echocardiograms. The next check will not be until closer to discharge unless he starts to show symptoms! The only inconclusive part is that the effect of his PDA murmur closing is still unknown. It is possible once the valve closes, the aorta might prove to be actually be narrowed. The news today just means they are more confident the aorta will be able to handle the extra work once it is required.
All in all a good day...boys needed more help on the less serious stuff but that was more than offset by the increased confidence with Jack's heart. Praise the Lord!
Now, let's get the weekend here...these evenings after work are too short!
Thank you Lord for the good report on Jack's aorta!
